History

Rajiv Gandhi College of Food Technology may be a unit of JJCT, and is related to VNMKV Parbhani and started engaging from Sept- 2004 beneath the steering of MCAER, Pune to supply B.Tech. (Food Technolgoy) degree. it’s has own college  building with  infrastructural facilities, well-equipped laboratories, separate hostels for boys and women, extremely qualified and adequate experienced staff members. The scholars from this faculty have evidenced their distinction by securing highest rank within the entire university throughout the last four educational years and additionally secured jobs in multinationals firms, India and abroad. Mode of education is full time study with theory & practicals. Medium of instruction is English.

The JJCT Jeevan Jyot Chairtable Trust   may be a non-profit, service-oriented organization, engaged in Education, Training, analysis and development in agriculture & food products  and connected fields, with its operation spreading within the district of Parbhani, Maharashtra. so as to realize these objectives, Late Prof. Ashokraoji Deshmukh (Ex. M.P.) founder, Jeevan Jyot trust, Parbhani, being a Post Graduate in Agriculture, has started numerous institutes specifically Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajiv Gandhi College  of Agriculture.

The location of the college is at the District Head Quarter namely Parbhani, which is about three hours drive by Rail from Aurangabad where is airport also exists . Also Parbhani Rly station holds the junction between Southern  Rly track between two majors cities Aurangad and Nanded  .

About College

Students by appointing trained faculties, providing well equipped laboratories, quality teaching facilities and inviting well known personalities in the related work area of Agricultural . Up gradation of faculties is a continues process and a mandate of this college. 

  • Agriculture provides an opportunity to convert bio-resources into economic wealth and to use in research. While doing this care is to be taken in no way that there is no adverse impact either on the environment or on human and animal health. The bottom line of our national Food Technology policy should be the economic well being of farm families, food security of the nation, health security for the consumer, protection of the environment and the security of our national and international trade in farm commodities. Infusion of new technology is necessary to maintain our agricultural enterprises’ competitive and remunerative aspect. Modern science of Food Technology is relevant to various areas of agriculture including crops, animals, fisheries, agro-forestry and agro-processing related to agro industry. 
  • Rajiv Gandhi College of Food Technology, Jintur Road, Parbhani  is affiliated to Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, has developed many research components and done the good work for welfare of the students. The college has a beautiful campus with 50 acres of land and well furnished buildings, well equipped laboratories, digital classrooms, Library, computer laboratory, seminar hall, conference hall, student’s hostel and canteen, Hospital and Botanical garden etc.
